With the warm weather approaching, there’s so many different runs for charity happening. From Central Park to the West Side and over in the boroughs. There always seems a way for folks to get involved and the warm weather seems to bring out the good in people. Ron Hershco knows when it comes to giving back to the community.
Supporting a number of charities, Ron’s contribution to Russell Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation has helped transformed the area in Brooklyn. Located on 2590 Atlantic Avenue, the 10,000 square foot space features a gallery and a studio for local artists and teachers.
However, as the weather continues to get nicer here in NYC and the seasons seem to change, there’s lots folks can do to get involved. Whether you’re looking to volunteer some time with New York Cares or run a marathon for a cause, don’t hesitate to just get involved.
It’s always good to give back and take some time for others. If you’re ever on the look-out for anything don’t hesitate to check out Charity Happens. They’ve got a great listing of events broken down by region.
